YOUR MISSION
The Head of Operations will direct an organisation’s overall operations, including foreign trade (import-export), logistics, warehouse management, distribution of goods, retail operations, IT, and wholesale customer service. Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations for all sales channels. Take responsibility for ensuring that goods get where they need to be in an efficient manner. Oversee and manage area operations functions: Demand Planning, Supply Planning/Purchasing, Fulfillment and Warehouse & Logistics Management. Facilitate collaboration across Area functions including Warehouse, Customer Service and IT as well as coordination and alignment with Regional Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities:

Plan and execute people management to ensure that the team operates effectively and efficiently including regular communication, performance measurement and team motivation.
Plan, recruit, and manage team resources
Generation and maintenance of a Rolling Gross Demand Forecast
Translation of gross demand into effective and efficient supply plans and procurement
Management of operational fulfilment of sales orders and service levels, inbound planning and availability
Optimisation and capacity planning
Execution and maintenance of efficient and effective operations and outbound processes, organisation, infrastructure, and IT systems
Support alignment of demand and supply plans, and regional supply chain activities with regional logistics to drive availability and OTIF
Support coordination of the Sales & Operations planning process with Merchandising, Sales and Finance, and drive agreement of a common area consensus demand plan
Conduct analysis of overall supply chain and logistics performance and produce standard reports and top management communication
YOUR TALENT
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics or relevant fields in a reputable university
Experience:

10+ years of progressive management work experience in Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, Transportation (preferably in footwear/apparel industry).
Capabilities:

Superior analytical skills for the preparation of product delivery forecasts, financial profitability of products and inventory management issues
Superior process improvement skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong leadership skills and success in people management
Displaying calmness under pressure
Strong knowledge of logistics

YOUR MISSION
Create department targets and strategy proposals for Management to review and agree.
In coordination with Planner, plan Assortment plan to maximize profit, sales, space density and options flow whilst optimizing inventory and managing risk on-trend product. Compare option requirements and mix vs. field requests and VM information, feedback and quantify gaps to business.
In coordination with Planner, ensure that in-season and pre-season plans and targets are balanced to match space and support store budgeted plans (sales, margin, density, and inventory). Accountable for bottom-up and top-down pre- and in-season targets to fulfil budget targets e.g., back best sellers in appropriate depth and manage risk on-trend product.

YOUR TALENT
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Retail Merchandising (planning and/or buying)
Assertive and confident attitude, results-driven, high-energy, passionate, decisive, and with strong attention to detail
Ability to work under minimum supervision with a proactive approach.
Ability to exercise independent judgment to make decisions, compile recommendations and determine priorities based on business and demands
Ability to effectively manage time and work against business deadlines
Fluency in the English language (speaking, reading, writing) at a business level
High level of organizational skills and detail-oriented
Strong excel skills

Retail Buying

Build ranges across all O&O retail channels (FPS, E-Com, Outlets).
Use range building blocks of fashionability, revenue vs equity, colour, seasonality, and price to build a rounded collection that delivers budgeted sales exceeds consumer expectations and creates an impact on the Retail floor.
Support Brand initiatives and Marketing campaigns through the selection of key products into assortments in appropriate depth.
Work on selection ranking as input to forecast & final buy quantities based on qualitative and quantitative data.
Work closely with VM and Marketing to agree on floor zoning, display and support in-store. Ensure the assortment meets the VM space available per category with the flow to drive newness on the floor.
Accountable for all orders being placed and tracked in a timely, effective manner.
Build a strong relationship with the Area Merchandising Team to ensure that the Area range meets Retail’s requirements and to maximize sales and profit.
Present product ranges to executive management, field operations and store management teams, explaining buying strategy, trends and influences, consumer profile, ranking and product selling benefits behind the collection.
Support sell-in to PUMA partner store accounts and build strong relationships with the relevant buyers of such accounts to improve/ensure alignment of O&O and Partner store ranges across the Area.
Allocation/Reporting

Manage In-season stock investment to deliver planned targets for stores and for divisional/departmental areas of responsibility
Analyze the Bestsellers and Worst-sellers and give the suggestion to maximize the performance
Weekly recap – from store feedback information identify risks and opportunities for areas of responsibility and propose to business
Weekly reporting. Create weekly sales reports to be supplied throughout the retail business
Review, analyze and propose adjustments to allocation plans, based on current trends, store performance and feedback from the field team. Take into consideration Option plans and target stock levels. Create an action plan, agree with the Planner and implement
Review product performance daily/weekly to optimize inventory investment by store and drive sales
Act as a point of contact for stores, retail operations and head office
Identify and analyze store/product statistical trends and propose actions to be taken – agree with Planner
Compile and analyze store history, by region and store profiles to assist future planning
Allocate and build the stock for new store openings/refurbishments according to targets. Monitor new store performance and recommend actions
Create, maintain and update store/market profiles for initial allocation
Create and load history and activate product records for the new allocation system
Assist Planning in identifying and recommending markdowns. Prepare Option/style list with markdown price proposal then sign off with Planner and assist in implementing agreed markdowns with Stores
Recommend to Planning inter-store transfers or send-outs, manage the stock transfers from Full-Priced to Outlet DC`s
Retail Planning

Accountable for buy spend, OTB/buy level management, divisional inventory control and option count.
Responsible for transparency, visibility and communication of key data and analysis to the business for effective decision making.
Responsible for delivering strategy, strategy updates and proposals on key decisions to the business and responsible for gaining agreement with Senior Management.
Develop seasonal/quarterly strategy, reviewing and identifying lessons learnt from financial KPIs.
Reconcile assortment plan to financial plan for sign-off
Deliver target parameters and plan framework to direct range build. Range build with buying function
Create unit buying plans that support financial plans.
Reforecast weekly to manage inventory, intake, sales and profit, forecast and manage OTB/Buy level. Create an action plan to manage opportunities and risks, ensure implementation of actions.
Accountable for all orders being placed (including accurate size profiles, selling and cost prices and delivery dates). Lead markdown process with markdown budget and strategy and sign off proposal taking accountability for markdown budget spend.
Review and implement exit strategy recommended by Allocation.
Support sell-in to PUMA partner store accounts and build strong relationships with the relevant buyers of such accounts to improve/ensure alignment of O&O and Partner store ranges across the Area.
