Position Description
We are currently looking for a Sales Development Manager who will be responsible for selling the entire QIAGEN product portfolio into a diverse mix of accounts.
This is a challenging and rewarding role, ideally suited to someone with knowledge of both the Life Science and Molecular Diagnostics market and or medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement corporate strategy in the region, through defined tactical plans
Validate and implement successful selling channels, processes and opportunities, while coaching and developing individuals/teams of Commercial Partners so that they have the direction, skills and tools to achieve targets
Provide support to commercial partners’ in implementing Sales and Marketing plans
Enhance customer satisfaction and increase our competitive advantage while building trust and relationships with customers through the Commercial Partner team
Maintain and develop strong relationships with key customers and references in conjunction with the Commercial Partners
Drive and initiate development of new business opportunities by visiting customers regularly
Conduct seminars/exhibitions and increase number of strategic partnerships within market (together with the Commercial Partner)
Communicate market information through business teams, CRM market feedback, and/or other approved channels
Drive customer satisfaction and increase competitive advantage by building trust and relationships
Develop relationships with key customers and commercial partners helping them understand how to use the products in different settings for different purposes
Develop and integrate an effective portfolio business plan with appropriate team members of the Commercial Partners in the assigned territory
Utilize SFDC database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness
Meet expense budget guidelines. Utilize communication channels to ensure effective communication across business units and commercial partners
Drive Commercial partners to achieve targets
Conduct regular and effective business reviews with Commercial Partners and take relevant actions where necessary.

Position Requirements

Degree in biological sciences or equivalent; MBA or working towards
Minimum 5 years sales experience with a proven track record in Life Sciences/Molecular /Diagnostics markets.
Proven successful leadership, team management and budget experience
Knowledge of relevant markets, both Life Sciences and Diagnostics, molecular biological topics and products would be advantageous
Proven experience of working with Commercial Partners
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Assertiveness
Strong commercial acumen
Sales driven
Results oriented
